Arun Bharat Ram, Chairman of SRF Limited is an alumnus of the University of Michigan, U.S.A. He set up SRF in 1970 as a manufacturer of nylon tyre cord, which over the years has not only diversified but has also acquired global leadership in most of its businesses. His strong support of initiatives of corporate governance, Total Quality Management and professionalisation of management led to SRF's Industrial Synthetics Business winning the coveted global Deming Award in 2004.
He started his career in 1967 with the Delhi Cloth & General Mills Co. Ltd. (now DCM Ltd.), the flagship company of the Shri Ram Group of Companies.
Bharat Ram has been President of CII during 2000-2001, currently Chairman of CII Education Council, and the Indian Co-Chairman of the Indo German Consultative Group.
A mid-handicap golfer and a keen musician, having learnt under the renowned maestro Pt. Ravi Shankar, he plays the sitar whenever possible. Arun Bharat Ram belongs to a renowned family of Delhi well known for its contribution in the field of education, art, culture and sports.
Arun Bharat Ram has won many awards and accolades. The important ones are the Jamshedji Tata Award, which was conferred on him by the Indian Society for Quality (ISQ) for the year 2006 and the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit, presented by the Federal Government of Germany in 2008.
Ashish Bharat Ram took over as Managing Director of SRF Ltd. in January 2007. Under his leadership, SRF Ltd. has grown into a major global conglomerate with operations in 3 countries across India, Thailand and South Africa. Today, its businesses cover a diverse portfolio of Technical Textiles, Fluorochemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Packaging Films and Engineering Plastics and command a market leadership position, both in India and overseas.
Prior to joining SRF Ltd. in 1994, Ashish had successful stints at DCM Toyota Ltd., SRF Finance Ltd. and SRF Overseas Ltd. handling a variety of functions that included Sales, Strategy, Marketing, TQM, among others.
Ashish has been studying the dynamics of family businesses for a while now and regularly speaks on the subject at Indian and global platforms. He has also authored articles on subjects related to India’s economic scenario and entrepreneurship in leading publications. Currently, Ashish serves as the Regional Chair for South Asia for the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), and is a member of the Northern Region Executive Committee of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
He holds a degree in Economics from Delhi University and an MBA from The Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University. Ashish is a single digit handicap golfer and an avid follower of sports. He and his wife live in New Delhi with their two daughters.
Kartik is the Deputy Managing Director of SRF Ltd, a chemical intermediates business with a turnover of US$ 695 million. SRF is a market leader in refrigerant gases and a preferred supplier of specialty chemicals and packaging films, besides being the country’s largest technical textile player with manufacturing plants in India, Thailand and South Africa.
As Deputy MD, Kartik is involved in the creation and strengthening of a performance based culture within the organization, through value-based leadership. He is also passionately involved in driving the aspirations of the company and an advocate on issues related to environmental responsibility. With interests’ that center on human motivation, leadership, corporate transformation and accountability, Kartik has successfully shaped SRF into being a trusted corporate brand – one that is respected for its commitment to deliver sustainable growth through total excellence.
In addition, Kartik is the Chairman of KAMA Holdings, a company that holds a majority share in SRF Ltd and is in the school education consultancy space. He is a fellow of the India Leadership Initiative, Aspen Institute India. In the past, he has served as the President of the Indian Blind Sports Association and as Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Delhi State Council for the year 2007-08.
Kartik is a graduate from Santa Clara University, California and earned an MBA from Cornell University, New York. He is an avid golfer and winner of multiple pro-am Golf tournaments.
Himanshu is a management graduate from FMS, Delhi University. His interest in the field of Education has pulled him out of his 20 years diversified career in SRF where he assumed responsibilities across different functions ranging from Finance, HR, TQM, Marketing and IT. His last assignment in SRF was as Unit Head for its Thailand Unit where he successfully integrated the Thailand operations with Indian operations. He moved to Shri Educare Limited in 2011 and is working towards making Shri Educare Limited a known brand in the education space.
Neethi Srikumar is a post graduate in English Literature from The School of Languages, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. She has also done her MS in Education (Gold Medalist) from The Faculty of Education and Psychology, Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda. She has worked in The Shri Ram School, Aravali for five years. While in TSRS she won The Intel Teach to the Future Award for Best Integration of Technology in Teaching, for a project on “Throwing Light On Africa – The Dark Continent”. Post TSRS, she has worked as principal of an IGCSE School in Ahmedabad and as founding principal of a CBSE school in Hyderabad. Overall, she has an experience of almost 20 years in various aspects of school operations - setting up and establishing schools, Teacher Training Programmes & Curriculum Development projects.
