MASTERING ELEMENTARY MAGIC
SEL’s Early Years Conclave
We at Shri Educare Limited (SEL) agree with the quote that “Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write and count. Childhood is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace which is right for each individual child.”
If Exploration, Experiencing, Experimentation and Enjoying are the main ways in which children learn, then what we as Educators need to do is provide an environment and platform to our little ones to be able to do so.
The importance of play in learning has been beautifully expressed by Vygotsky, “A child’s play is not simply a reproduction of what he/she has experienced, but a creative reworking of the impressions he/she has acquired.”
And in keeping with this belief, we have organised SEL’s Early Years Conclave – “Mastering Elementary Magic”. If our Shri Educators achieve mastery over both the curriculum and pedagogy of the Early Years Programme, and they are equipped with the key skills required to transact the same in the learning spaces at schools, then the four “E’s” mentioned above would become part of the learning journey that our little children have embarked upon.
The Purpose of the Early Years Conclave is to:
- Understand, highlight and discuss all aspects that influence early learning in various dimensions
- Provide support in enhancing the Shri Pedagogy
- Help create a platform to share challenges, deliberate, discuss and ponder over plausible solutions
- Establish dialogue among all partner schools with a common mission of equipping educators with knowledge and skills required to make learning an enriching experience

Participants
- All Shri Educators from Pre-Nursery to Grade I across all SEL Schools
- Coordinators of Elementary Grades must attend for sure
- Preferably 3 to 4 participants per school

- Interact and learn from an Early Years Educationist
- Sharing of Best Practices across SEL schools
- Understand how Learning in the Early Years and the Experiences provided impact a child’s growth and development
- Participate in a dynamic Panel Discussion
